Feel like my app is judging me.

Gonna start referring to Git as my "source control blockchain." Send money to get in on my Series A.
TIL: ZFS mounts have a ".zfs" directory at their root that includes all the snapshots. It doesn't show up with a "ls -a" but you can navigate into it.
@feld that would be the *most amazing* backup.
We have toilets that are computer controlled.
We have sinks and hand driers that are computer controlled.
Why can't we have a light of shame for those who walk out of the bathroom and didn't wash their hands?
@cwebber I've been looking at the ActivityPub spec and I can't figure out how to get from an address like "AT ted AT gould.cx" to "https://social.gould.cx/@ted". It seems like ActivityPub takes over after you have that URL, but there is something before it. Could you give me a kick in the right direction please?

@lain It's not just politics in this case, there's a structural reason for why it was thought to be a better decision, that ActivityPub should be follow-your-nose/URI centric.
However I think even if it's not in the spec Webfinger can and should and is supported. Something *is* missing, and that's a guide on what the best practice is. But we have a path forward for that: we can document it through the SocialCG.
I know the reason, it's just not a good one.
@lain I agree with Lain here. "who@where" form has been standard on the Internet for decades, and it's actually a standard URI notation. Why Webfinger (which is a way to support such form) is missing from the standard, beats me.
Didn't realize that Discourse is considering adding ActivityPub support.
I think that ActivityPub starts to get really interesting when non-social networking style apps start to share data on it.
@ted this can’t come soon enough!
Like AP integration with https://shp.itch.io/siege-at-spc ?
no ap in siege, just building basic mastoapi support
