My new mobile plan from a new provider costs me a third of what the old one did, and it has unlimited data, so now I can finally turn off those annoying data warning and data limit settings and stop fretting over whether podcasts are coming down over WiFi or mobile.
Rate is capped at 2 Mbps, but I mean I think I used only like 10 Gbps of WiFi last month, and that's 11 hours at 2 Mbps and I'm using my mobile for hours a day. Clearly I'm not going over 2 Mbps very often.
Full speed with capped volume (and 128 kbps after hitting the cap) was 10% cheaper but not having to think about it is worth a *lot*. I'd rather be constantly capped at 2 Mbps than sometimes accidentally capped at 128 kbps.
not uncle tom again :<
Children don't want to believe that their parents are capable of lying to them, because they depend on them for survival. So the parent must be right... especially where the parent doesn't give any room to be wrong as it is inconvenient for them.
there was a male researcher at one of the recent programming languages conferences who was using a anime girl profile picture for all the zoom calls.

wait, what, but the MSM told me we are all going to die!

Parents don't realise the power they hold over tiny children. If you repeat something enough times, your child may very well believe that to be a fact. Children want to fit in with their parents... telling them what they are, whether that relates to their gender, their religion, or other beliefs... it has lasting effects and confusion as they grow up and struggle to reconcile what they've been taught their whole lives.

yeah. As a kid, if you gave me barbies, I would probably have played with them. For the longest time my fav toy was a metal mickey mouse hand that I found on the ground. I know it's mickey mouse because I found the kid with the backpack later in school. I pretended it was Master Hand in Smash <-<
Also when I was very young, I asked mom to paint my nails. Dad was not impressed apparently
Anyways, all of this to say that super young kids like this has like very little concept of gender as a whole mostly, I know I didn't.
See what I mean? Lol. When you think about it though, those things are pretty social engineering... you pick it up later on as a kid through observation. It's not innate what clothes you wear, what make-up you put on or what toys you play with. As you get older, you discover what works for you and feels comfortable. There are likely preferences and patterns involved, but how much is nature vs nurture... I don't know. Besides that, wouldn't you just play with whatever toy you were given if you were bored? Find creative ways to do so?
As far as I'm aware, there's some level of nature involved. There's a reason why Lego and block building is generally more popular with boys, due to how the brain works. The same applies to monkey for example
Of course there's a level of nurture needed, that's what parenting is for
